Beloved

At the AMIA winter conference, one of the keynote speakers was Kay Warren ( Rick Warren's wife and an author/speaker in her own right). She spoke of how there are 130 million orphans in the world and that God's view of us is beloved. Beloved is more old school English for dearly loved, held dear and is a term of endearment. God opens up his home for us, adopts us and makes us heirs with Jesus ( we get the same inheritance as our older brother). This is the amazing undeserved love that God wishes to lavish on us.
Do we though treat other Christians as our brothers and sisters? Do we love them and show the world God's truth by our love for one another? I too often fail in this.
We are called to love one another as Jesus has loved us. Since we are God's beloved, his dearly loved, can we not love at least our fellow Christians?
The world is looking for love. It is looking for something worth believing in for something real and dear. It asks us where is the love....
May I love my neighbour and others but especially those irritating brothers and sisters of mine in the church.
