This Sunday I was preaching at Mountain Valley Mission. I talked about the feeding of the 5000.
Jesus miracle came out of one little boy's generousity in giving up his lunch to Jesus and the disciples obedience in passing out the food. Jesus can make the impossible possible. It requires us though to release what little we have to him.
It would have taken eight months wages to feed the people present. That is $20000-30000 which is a rather large chunk of change. And yet after reaching up to heaven and blessing the bread, He broke it and gave it to his disciples to pass out. And 5000+ people all ate and were full and 12 baskets full of leftovers remained.
Jesus does not need us to perform miracles. He will do that but we need to be willing to offer our lunch and then pass out the bread.
And he will do more than you can ask our imagine.
He asks us to be his ambassadors; to be his hands and feet.
